Cooperation Process

9-step standardized process · 3 major phases · from initial consultation to long-term cooperation

Common customer pain points — How we solve it

In precision part manufacturing cooperation, you may encounter the following problems. We have mature solutions for each pain point.

Incomplete drawings → delayed quotation

Missing tolerances, unspecified materials, and vague surface treatments lead to repeated communication and re-quoting. Engineers need to spend extra time confirming details.

✅ We provide a Free DFM evaluation, proactively identify drawing issues and give supplementary suggestions, and complete the quotation within 3 working days.

Long prototyping cycle → project delay

Traditional tooling development takes 4-8 weeks, and product teams have to wait. Design validation is delayed, affecting the entire development plan.

✅ MBJ requires no tooling, produces first article in 3-5 days, and quickly validates the design. After confirmation, open MIM tooling with zero-risk transition.

Quality fluctuation → batch inconsistency

Large dimensional deviations between batches cause assembly problems. Without SPC control, the problem is already affecting the entire batch when discovered.

✅ Strictly implementAPQP+SPC, CPK >1.67. Zeiss CMM full dimension inspection, each batch accompanied by an inspection report.

Lack of transparency → high communication costs

Vague quotations, invisible progress, slow problem response. Purchasing needs to follow up frequently, increasing management burden.

✅ Transparent itemized quotation, establish a dedicated project group for real-time progress synchronization, quality issues responded to within 2 hoursand 8D initiated.

Delivery delay → production line shutdown

Insufficient supplier capacity or unreasonable production scheduling leads to delayed delivery, putting the customer's production line at risk of shutdown.

✅ Annual capacity in thetens of millions, on-time delivery rate99.8%. Safety stock of materials is maintained, and urgent orders can be expedited.

High mold modification cost → budget overrun

Design changes cause mold scrapping or major modifications, with costs far exceeding the budget. Lack of early DFM evaluation leads to repeated mold modifications.

✅ DFM intervention at the design stage, MBJ validation before tooling. Tooling life monitoring, reducing tooling costs by 30%.

01

Phase 1: Consultation and Discussion

Steps 1-3 · Typically 1-3 working days

Initial consultation and requirement confirmation

Send us your project requirements and technical drawings. Accepted 3D formats (STEP/IGS/STL/X_T/SLDPRT) and 2D formats (DWG/DXF/PDF/JPG). The more detailed the information you provide, the more accurate our evaluation and the faster the quotation.

Tip: Provide complete 3D drawings + 2D annotations (including tolerances), and we can complete a preliminary evaluation within 24 hours.

DFM manufacturability evaluation

Engineers analyze manufacturability from the perspectives of wall thickness uniformity, draft angle, fillet design, and tolerance annotation, evaluate the feasibility of MIM or MBJ processes, and proactively propose design optimization suggestions.

Tip: Performing DFM evaluation at the early stage of product design yields the best results and can reduce tooling costs by up to 30%.

Note: Vague tolerances, unspecified materials, or missing surface requirements will lead to incomplete evaluation or the need for re-quotation.

Detailed quotation and solution confirmation

Provide a transparent itemized quotation: tooling cost, material cost, machining cost, surface treatment cost, packaging and logistics cost. Offer tiered pricing based on annual demand.

Tip: When annual demand exceeds 100,000 pieces, the MIM unit cost advantage is greatest. A long-term supply agreement can be discussed to obtain better pricing.

02

Phase 2: APQP and Sample Development

Steps 4-6 · Typically 7-14 working days

Raw material inspection and tooling development

Raw material 100% spectral analysis to verify composition, powder particle size distribution tested. Supports 30+ materials including 316L, 17-4PH, Ti-6Al-4V. Tooling uses CNC+EDM precision machining.

Tip: Raw material batches are traceable to supplier heat numbers. If you have designated materials or special requirements, please raise them during the quotation stage.

APQP sample production

Strictly follow the APQP protocol and deliver a complete quality documentation package:CP Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, SPC Plan, and FAI First Article Inspection Report.

Tip: A full dimension report with CMM data will be provided within 3 working days after sample completion. First-article pass rate >98%.

Post-processing and full dimension inspection

Heat treatment (solution/aging/annealing) + surface treatment (electroplating/PVD/polishing/sandblasting/passivation) + Zeiss CMM full dimension inspection, 100% full appearance inspection.

Note: The compatibility of different materials and surface treatments varies; engineers will recommend the best combination during the evaluation phase.

03

Phase 3: Mass Production and Long-term Cooperation

Steps 7-9 · Continuous service

Mass production and SPC control

Establish dedicated customer files and standardized operating procedures. ImplementSPC statistical process control, with critical dimensions CPK >1.67. Daily capacity over 100,000 pieces, annual capacity in tens of millions,on-time delivery rate 99.8%.

Tip: Maintain safety stock for repeat orders to shorten lead time. It is recommended to discuss annual forecast plans to obtain priority production scheduling.

Professional packaging and global logistics

Custom blister trays, VCI anti-rust bags, individual box packaging with label traceability. SupportFOB/CIF/DDP/door-to-door, air freight 3-7 days, sea freight 15-45 days, international express.

Tip: Maintain safety stock for repeat orders to shorten lead time. It is recommended to discuss annual forecast plans to obtain priority production scheduling.

Continuous support and quarterly review

Quality issuesare confirmed within 2 hours and 8D corrective actions are initiated. Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to align demand forecasts, cost optimization, and new product introduction plans.
